One, two, three...
Captain Chu lost count as he watched the vortices open. Moments later the sweeping forms of Minbari Warcruisers appeared out of them. Chu marveled at the sheer elegance of these dangerous warships for a moment, wondering how such destructive power could take on such a beautiful form. The yellow-green flares of Minbari neutron lasers quickly shook Chu out of his reverie. "Pass the order: Cover the retreat of the civilians, then make for the jump gate. All Furies are to escort the civilians. Fleet, accelerate to combat speeds. Concentrate on the smaller frigates first. May God protect us all."
Almost as one, the Earth fleet accelerated towards the Minbari, hoping to buy the time the civilians needed to escape...
