“Saskatchewan residents have two passions”, says board game creator Wayne Tardif, “talking Roughrider football and playing crib”. Tardif goes on to say it just seemed like the right thing to combine those two passions, so he created Roughrider Cribbage The Board Game. The over-all board game design and the playing rules was adopted from a previous creation by Tardif and his lifelong friend Myles Warken. Several years earlier the two Saskatchewan natives developed Cribbage The Board Game, an innovative tabletop version of the classic card game of Cribbage. That original, classic game of Cribbage first appeared in the early 1600’s as the brainchild of Sir John Suckling, an English poet.
